Julie Renée Jones (b.1984) is an Midwest-based artist and educator whose work explores autobiographical approaches to family and motherhood, using the camera as a tool to reveal the unknown. Jones has exhibited extensively across the U.S, Canada, and Europe, and has been published by National Geographic, The British Journal of Photography, Real Simple Magazine, Fraction Magazine, Newfound Journal, C 41 Magazine, The Guardian, and Time Magazine. A selection of her work from Hold Still is featured in "Eye Mama: Poetic Truths of Home and Motherhood" by teNeues. She is a recipient of numerous awards and grants in the support of her work including two Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards. She received her MFA from Columbia College Chicago and a BFA from the University of Dayton.
